My inference for Wonder is that Auggie doesn’t like school. He was crying when his mom told him he had to go to school. Also for more than 3 months of school were staring at him and for the whole year people were calling him names. That would make him dislike school because it would hurt his feelings especially when kids say mean things to his face. Another reason is it was hard to make friends because of his face. Barely any of the kids judged him by his personality or how kind he is but by his face. Clearly, Auggie doesn’t enjoy school.
